Pretoria—The Enlightened Christian Gathering Church has asked followers of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and Mary Bushiri to remain calm, but resolute in prayer ahead of the Prophets’ appearances before the Commercial Crimes Court in Pretoria on Friday, November 29, 2019.

In a statement issued by the Director of communications, Ephraim Nyondo, the Church appreciated messages from various institutions and countries that came in in support of the Prophets.

“We also want to appreciate messages of solidarity, goodwill and encouragement that we have been receiving from different people and institutions…,” part of the statement read.

The court appearance comes after a series of court appearances from the beginning of the year when the state accused the two Prophets of money laundering and fraud. NPA have postponed the case several times due to lack of evidence.

Scores of people are expected to throng Pretoria for Prophet Bushiri’s appearance in court.

The Church further appealed to those coming to be at the venue by 07:30 am:

“For those coming to the court tomorrow to stand with our leaders, you are welcome. Make sure you are at the premises by 07:30 hrs CAT and the address is 200-244 Visagie Street, Pretoria Central, Pretoria, 0002.”
