Demonstrating practical love, brother Obed, together with the Issachar Support Program(ISP) handed out food parcels to the less fortunate of their tribe on Sunday the 23rd of June 2019.
He said during a short speech before handing over the parcels, “This initiative started with just feeding members from Issachar only, but we’ve extended our hand to include even stewards from other tribes.”
He also spoke about how this project is not just an initiative to feed the hungry but also to raise their faith as well.
Inspired by the beacon of hope, a wing at the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG)church which is responsible for Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s philanthropic work across Africa, the ISP program, hands out second hand clothes and runs a soup kitchen for the homeless in different places in Pretoria,”At one outreach in Sunny side, so many people came that we ended up buying the rest some KFC because we ran out of the food we had prepared.” said brother Osacar, the spokesman for ISP.
Only those who register at the tribes administration desk qualify to receive food parcels. They must be willing to be interviewed to ascertain the validity of the claim that they cannot afford to buy food.
Brother Obed thanked and blessed everyone that makes ISP what it is through donations before he released them to begin the distribution of the parcels.
This benevolent gesture by Issachar is done every 2nd month; donations and registrations are done through Issachar on Mondays, at the Issachar head office in Tshwane.
The next handover will be announced during the tribe meeting at a date close to the next handover around August.
