Apostle Mishack and Apostle Nkomo, the directors of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) International have instructed ECG Botswana leadership to begin the process of bringing the church into registration compliance by re- registering the Church after it’s services were suspended indefinitely ahead of Prophet Bushiri’s planned visit which will be announced soon.
This follows after ECG Botswana had been caught in continuous court appeals regarding church de-registration since March 2018 and was subsequently advised to withdraw appeal applications by the directorate of the church on July the 3rd 2019.
In its statement issued earlier today, PSBM said they were grateful to the Masisi administration for lifting up the VISA restrictions that had been imposed by the previous government on Prophet Bushiri.
“The Botswana government has shown strong commitment to respecting the freedom of religion, assembly and movement. They inspire confidence in us and we believe that they are fair and just and are willing to push the agenda of a truly christian nation,” the statement read.
This new turn of events will help to speed up compliance process owing to the requirement that Prophet Bushiri be in the country for the whole paper process which includes; the submission of annual returns, court appeals and lobbying to satisfy all compliance expectations.
In the meantime, members of ECG Botswana are still encouraged to cross the border into South Africa to attend services pending finalisation which should take a few weeks.
“…additional plans are in place to accommodate even bigger numbers,” The statement added.
